i07.jpgDiscipleship Training School (DTS), is a six or five months lecture and practice training. It aims to prepare messengers of the gospel, helping students to know God in depth. The goal is to form Christian character and establish Biblical relationships while developing a daily walk with God. This intensive Christian training course begins with an 11 or 12 week classroom phase followed by a typically 12 week outreach.

The DTS is designed to encourage students to develop in personal character, to cultivate a living relationship with God, and to identify their unique individual gifts and callings in God. Cross-cultural exposure and global awareness are special emphases throughout these courses, preparing the students to reach current and future generations and answer the call to "Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28:19.

Not everyone completing a DTS or CDTS necessarily joins YWAM. Many participate in a DTS to take time out to concentrate on God and consider whether He might be calling them to Christian ministry. For those who choose to go on into a career with YWAM, successful completion of the DTS qualifies them to apply for hundreds of staff opportunities. Graduating from the DTS also qualifies students to go on to YWAM's other training programs, such as those offered by YWAM's University of the Nations† (UofN).

If you would like to apply for our DTS program or have specific questions, please contact us. The DTS is ran once a year, (starting in October).

We are also involved with Leadership Seminars with various churches. A nation building process should begins with godly leaders. These leaders will be trained to transform their communities through practical demonstration of the Kingdom of God. They will also serve as agents of change.

i04.jpgOur Drama team is prepared to take the gospel to communities, schools and prison cells. We desire to partner with churches in their outreach program, by empowering them through training and jointly taking short term mission trips to unreached areas in Liberia.

As Christians, we are called to demonstrate the love of God to all. We are planning on reaching two prisons cells in Monrovia. We will be ministering (preaching) to these inmates and taking hot meal to them at least once a month. This may extend to other prisons in the country as God Provides the funds.

i02.jpgMany years of war have left many children and young adults in orphanages, on streets and some end up with criminal gangs. Hopelessness and a spirit of depression affect them. In response, YWAM has entered into partnership with Lifeline Liberia in establishing a youth center that will cater to some of the needs of these young people. In this center, activities will include but not limited to health talks (HIV/AIDS), Career counseling, games, sports, Bible teaching and helping a neighbor. This is in its embryonic stage, we need your prayer and financial support.

We have started an annual church league (soccer) that brings churches together. We bring churches from various communities from in and around Monrovia to vie for a trophy. This helps in bringing the churches together in a concerted effort therefore promoting unity among churches. This also help us in fulfilling the objective of our youth ministries, making them productive and Christ focused citizens.
